Club Core Ideology:

   The club exists to:
   1. Help people improve their public speaking skills.
   2. Provide an excellent supportive atmosphere.
   3. Create an atmosphere where people’s opinions, thoughts and point of views are respected.
   4. Provide equal opportunities for all members.
   5. Encourage continuous self-improvement.

   6. Provide a serious and fun environment for its members and guests.
   7. Create and maintain an effective, open and free education system to help humankind easily learn public speaking.

Club Rules*:

   1. Rule of language Fluency
      a. Club membership is only granted to fluent speakers of English.
      b. Applicants must pass a 5 minute interview.

   2. Rule of Respect
      a. It is forbidden to insult other people.
      b. It is forbidden to use impolite language.
      c. It is forbidden to talk about politics.
      d. Your membership will be revoked if you receive more than 10 red stars.**
      e. Prior to becoming a member, each applicant is expected to read the club’s FAQ.
      f.  Membership is granted for a period of 12 months and may be extended in the case that all of the club rules are respected and obeyed by the member.

   3. Rule of Commitment
      a. You will lose your membership right for several months if you are not active.***
      b. You must have a club membership card on you when you attend a club meeting.
      c. We expect our members to feel like a part of the club, not like visitors! ****

   4. Rule of money
      a. There is a membership fee for members.
      b. Free entrance for guests.

*The executive committee of the club retains the right to grant or forbid membership to applicants on the basis of their faculty of English as determined by the Vice President of Membership, as well as to expel club members in the event that they disrespect the club rules and/or make attempts at interfering with the normal work of the club. In taking the above mentioned measures, the executive committee also retains the right not to give any report to other members or guests of the club.
**-If you sign up for a performance and do not show up without prior notice, you will receive 5 red stars. If you notify us a day before the meeting, you will receive 3 red stars. If you inform us at least 2 days in advance, you will receive 2 red stars. If you inform us at least 7 days in advance, you will receive 1 red star.
-If you are assigned a role (e.g. Anchorperson) and do not show up without prior notice, you will receive 6 red stars. If you inform us at least 2 days in advance, you will receive 3 red stars. If you inform us 7 days in advance, you will receive 1 red star.
-If you are assigned a role or if you signed up for a performance and be late you will receive 3 red stars.
***Commitment is a sure way to achievement. When you become a member, whenever you perform you will receive a blue star. The Club expects you to receive at least 3 blue stars over the period of 3 months; if you receive 1 blue stars or less, you will lose your membership right for the next 24 months, and if you receive less than 3 blue stars, you will lose your membership right for the next 12 months.
****If we want to have a good club, we have to start with ourselves and understand that each of us can make a difference! If all of us approach the club with this attitude, we will have a wonderful club!
