Key areas to concentrate on:
- Making an outline of the speech – ‘skeleton’ (Introduction, body, ending)
- Speech introduction: hoking and impressive
- Speech body - phrasing the central idea (a thesis statement), highlighting main ideas (golden rule – 3 main ideas), smooth linking
- Speech ending - dramatic
- Time control
