Stage 2 Structure your speech

Key areas to concentrate:
2.1. Making an outline of the speech – ‘skeleton’ (Introduction, body, ending)
2.2. Speech introduction: hoking and impressive
2.3. Speech body - phrasing the central idea (a thesis statement), highlighting main ideas (golden rule – 3 main ideas), smooth linking
2.4. Speech ending - dramatic
2.5. Time control
